Begin with the address already on your screen
Sellers do not always receive orders through one system. A recipient address might appear in a marketplace order, an independent store dashboard, an order management tool, a customer portal, or another browser-based application. When the preferred shipping workflow does not connect directly to that sales channel, creating a label can become a manual copying exercise.
ShipDime approaches that handoff from the browser. If a recipient shipping address is available as selectable text in your browser, highlight the address, right-click it, and choose Create Shipping Label. ShipDime opens in Chrome's side panel and begins a new shipment session using the text you selected. This is not a claim of literal compatibility with every website: protected pages, nonselectable interfaces, unusual document viewers, or browser-restricted locations can limit what an extension can read.
Useful when there is no direct channel integration
Dedicated integrations can be valuable when a seller uses one established sales channel and wants automatic synchronization. The challenge appears when orders arrive through a mix of tools or a smaller channel is not connected to the seller's preferred label workflow. Building and maintaining a separate technical integration for every source can be disproportionate to the simple task at hand: accurately transferring the recipient address into a shipment.
ShipDime gives the user an explicit, visible handoff. You choose the exact text that represents the recipient. The extension does not need to guess which customer record or order on the page you intended to ship. It preserves the original selection, extracts recognizable address parts, and places them into editable fields. You remain responsible for confirming the recipient, sender, service, weight, and dimensions before checkout.

From selected text to an editable shipment
Webpages can represent addresses in many ways. Visible line breaks may differ from the plain text Chrome supplies, and a selected block can include headings or nearby metadata. ShipDime captures the rendered selection where the browser permits it, cleans known labels, and uses a shared extraction pipeline to organize recipient information. When extraction confidence is limited, the form remains available for manual correction instead of presenting uncertain data as final.
After reviewing the address, add the packed package's weight, length, width, and height. Choose an available USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail label type and review the current quote. ShipDime shows the price before payment. Once payment is confirmed, label processing happens against the saved shipment rather than temporary form state, helping the order continue even if the side panel closes.
Built-in recovery after checkout
A completed label includes its tracking number and controls to download, print, or copy tracking. ShipDime also keeps Recent Labels so the document can be accessed again. If the extension closes after checkout, it can look up the stored order status and return to the appropriate stage: waiting for payment confirmation, creating the label, displaying the completed label, or offering support if fulfillment failed after payment.
This recovery behavior is particularly helpful in a browser-based workflow because tabs and extension panels are temporary by nature. It also reduces the risk of treating a missing screen as a reason to purchase the same label again. ShipDime correlates the shipment and order so the existing result can be restored when available.
Review remains essential
Selected text can be incomplete, incorrectly formatted, or contain outdated customer information. ShipDime does not remove the seller's responsibility to verify the address and package.
